Overview
Pico is a major character in Dimensional Deep End. He originated from the newgrounds game Pico's School, and is prominently featured as a main character in the rhythm game Friday Night Funkin'. This version of Pico has multiple differences in appearance, personality, and background than his official counterparts.
He joins Tristan, Girlfriend, and the others in the B plot.
He is friends with Boyfriend and Girlfriend.
Appearance
Pico is a 2D world-er with spiky ginger hair, white rectangular eyes, a small upward-triangular nose, pointy ears, and light skin. His hair has three points, the largest being the middle. He has a lime green sweater with dark green sleeves, brown pants with tied drawstrings, and crimson shoes with orange laces. He wields a large gray Uzi at all times, keeping it in his pocket when not in use.
Personality
Pico is harsh and standoffish, keeping his distance from others and acting fast in unpredictable situations. Though this does not make him unapproachable. He lives a life of high stakes and danger due to his line of work and has little tolerance for nonsense or hostility from others. Being fiercely independent, he rarely relies on anyone outside of jobs and has few meaningful connections with people, those being Boyfriend, his best friends Darnell and Nene, and to a lesser extent Girlfriend. They are among the few people that he cares for, and he is incredibly loyal to Boyfriend in particular. When he finds out he went missing, his overall attitude went more on the defensive. He knows when something’s wrong.
He is blunt and honest, never one to mince his words, and uses frequent profanity. Living under pressure much of the time makes him more prone to be blunt to others. He acts more on the practical and logical side, but can struggle with navigating social or relational situations. He enjoys sparring and friendly combat with others to bond.
When he isn’t taking a high-stakes job, Pico can actually be quite laid back and unserious. He has his humorous moments and knows when not to take a ridiculous situation seriously thanks to Boyfriend's goofiness rubbing off on him.
Background
Pico was raised as a mercenary to take up various assignments in his line of work, such as bodyguarding and assassination. He's been tasked to kill anything between humans and aliens. Being naturally agile and skilled with weaponry, he navigated these situations with ease.
His history with Boyfriend is relatively the same as their history in Friday Night Funkin', where they dated for a short period of time before becoming exes. Pico runs into him again after Daddy Dearest sets him up for assassination for a staggering bounty. Pico is unable to go through with it, including even protecting Boyfriend when he ends up in the Tankman warzone, landing him in hot water with Nene and Darnell. After the events of Weekend 1, he makes amends with his crew.
In this universe, Pico eventually ends up getting more jobs from Daddy Dearest, this time relating to taking down different targets or even accepting bodyguarding assignments.
