Overview
Girlfriend is a major character in Dimensional Deep End and originates from the rhythm game Friday Night Funkin'. This version of Girlfriend has multiple differences in upbringing, appearance, and personality than her official counterpart.
She spends time with Tristan in the B plot in the wake of her partner, Boyfriend, being swept into the Deep End along with Dave by a mysterious portal that opens up beneath them in the prologue song Format.
She is the girlfriend of Boyfriend and a friend of Pico.
Appearance
Girlfriend is a human 2D Worlder. She has large, voluminous reddish-brown hair that reaches her hips, black eyes, and tan skin. She wears a red sleeveless mock neck dress and red heels.
Personality
Girlfriend is a friendly, albeit airheaded person. While book-smart, being raised in a wealthy and powerful family has given her a skewed idea of what is normal to others, lacking the street smarts that Boyfriend has. She is highly artistic and creative, enjoying making music and art. She is mostly cordial and mindful of others, but cuts back with people she trusts to be more laid-back and vulgar.
She is caring and strong-willed, but does not handle situations too well when being separated from her partner, prone to stress and bottling up her emotions for the sake of others. She tends to lose focus on things and drools when she zones out.
Background
Girlfriend was raised in a wealthy and powerful family. Her father was an ex-rockstar, while her mother was an ex-pop idol. She grew up sheltered and protected by henchmen and bodyguards, and their wealth gave her access to a good education, but she never learned how to function that well in the outside world.
Later in life she met and began dating Boyfriend, traveling with him as he rap battled many opponents over the years.
Trivia
- Girlfriend is an artist, usually taking commissions or working as a graphic designer. She has done work for many things including comics and billboards.
- Girlfriend doesn't have a good sense of marketing, so she sets her commission prices astronomically higher than they need to be. Despite this, she still gets customers.
